Ben Coffey Clark

Ben Coffey Clark co-founded Bully Pulpit International (BPI), where he leads business development and advises top companies, political leaders, and advocacy groups on how to win over even the most skeptical audiences.

For more than 20 years, he has tackled some of the most pressing issues of the day — from presidential campaigns to autonomous vehicle policy to banning flavored e-cigarettes. At BPI, he has overseen nearly a billion dollars in media spend and developed breakthrough strategies that combine technology, storytelling, and persuasion.

A former political reporter who helped run national campaign marketing efforts, Ben builds integrated teams that merge classic press strategy with cutting-edge analytics and digital media. He has played a role in every Democratic presidential cycle since 2004, beginning with the Howard Dean campaign, and has been a key architect of the party’s most ambitious digital efforts. Since his time as a political communications director and editorial director at The Washingtonian, he has stayed close to the reporters and publishers who shape public opinion.

He lives in San Francisco, CA, with his family, where he leads BPI’s largest tech accounts and swims in the bay year-round.
