Direct Marketing Strategist – New York & Washington, DC

BPI is seeking full time direct marketing strategists to join our growing team in both New York and DC. The applicants should have experience in conceiving, launching, optimizing, and reporting on performance-focused digital advertising campaigns. The strategists will be charged with managing the digital advertising program performance of advocacy movements, non-profit organizations, and corporate affairs initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Advise nonprofits, advocacy groups, and corporations on paid media strategy
  • Create digital advertising campaigns across a variety of platforms, including search, display, and social
  • Optimize campaigns to achieve peak performance in terms of CPA and ROI
  • Draft advertising copy (text + graphics) for new and existing campaigns
  • Prepare comprehensive performance reports and generate insights to create a client-facing narrative from large datasets
  • Conduct A/B and multivariate testing of ad copy and landing pages

Required Experience and Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience managing direct response advertising campaigns on search and Facebook
  • Experience with platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and general RTB environments a plus
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Omniture
  • Strong analytical abilities and ability to communicate results to senior-level audiences
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel (VBA knowledge a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with A/B testing programs such as Optimizely a plus.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript

Project Manager – New York

BPI is seeking a full time project manager to join our growing team in New York. You will work closely with BPI staff and leadership to manage a wide array of projects on behalf of our corporate clients. You will interface with our clients on a regular basis and work across their internal teams as well as BPI’s to accomplish project objectives.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Production of client facing documents (memos, presentations, analysis)
  • Lead the execution of projects
  • Manage project resource allocation
  • Plan and schedule project timelines
  • Track project deliverables to ensure timeliness
  • Manage client expectations and deliver weekly status updates
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time
  • Work with our clients and their partners to obtain assets
  • Schedule internal meetings and coordinate with teams on project deliverables
  • Ensure quality assurance
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results

Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) was founded by the lead digital marketers of the 2008 Obama Presidential campaign to help clients in the public and private sectors create modern versions of what President Roosevelt once called a “bully pulpit,” or a platform, to reach the public. Fellowship Description

BPI is looking to fill 3-6 paid fellowship positions in the departments of Email & Social Media Marketing, Online Advertising and Design. BPI is seeking qualified college senior and/or recent graduate to join our fast-paced growing team of digital marketing strategists. Candidates will have the unique opportunity to work with major political races, leading philanthropic organizations and corporations.   The duration of the fellowship is one full semester (3 – 6 months) and will be extended pending review. A full time position will be considered after the completion of the fellowship program.

The candidate selected with work closely with BPI staff in order to support an array of projects from website and advertising campaign launches, to content and social media strategy. We work on a variety of clients’ digital efforts, move quickly and efficiently and are looking for a fellow to help us shape the online marketing world through email, content, advertising, direct marketing and design.
