Bully Pulpit Interactive Adds New Partner, Managing Director

Washington, DC, February 12, 2016 – Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI), a marketing agency that specializes in public affairs, corporate reputation, social impact and political campaigns, is pleased to announce a new partner, Eliza Lockwood, and managing director, Mike Schneider.

Lockwood, who is the Chief Financial Officer, joins as the fifth active partner at the company. As CFO of BPI, Lockwood has driven the firm’s growth by managing millions of dollars in revenue while providing strategic financial oversight. During President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, Lockwood managed the online media budget on behalf of BPI and split her time between DC and Chicago. Since joining BPI in 2009 as its second employee, Lockwood has been a core part of BPI’s success as the largest digital marketer of the democratic party and helped BPI to grow in DC, New York and Chicago. Lockwood’s promotion to partner is a reflection of her strategic input and leadership.

“We are thrilled to have Eliza join us as a partner,” said Andrew Bleeker, president of BPI. “Eliza has been with us since the beginning and has provided the foundation of our culture and operations.”

Mike Schneider, the current director of BPI Labs, was also promoted to Managing Director. Schneider has been with BPI since 2011 and has helped craft the firm’s strategic direction around advertising, technology, and data. In 2015, Mike launched a new core line of business, the Vantage platform, which allows advertisers to optimize for persuasion instead of engagement metrics. Vantage has fundamentally changed how BPI measures the success of digital marketing campaigns. Since launching in the spring of 2015, Vantage has shifted how democrats run campaigns up and down the ballot as well as how corporations measure reputation campaigns.

BPI was founded by the digital marketers of Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential campaign and has since supported over 350 clients on five different continents. BPI aims to bring lessons learned from political campaigns to corporations, non-profits and major public affairs fights.
